Chair of Modern Central and Eastern European History
Since October 2013 Visiting Professor PD. Dr. Rudolf Mark replaces Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Katzer as Professor of Modern Central and Eastern European History. The research foci of the Chair are currently in the history of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union in the 19th and 20th centuries. In addition, special attention is given to Central Asian, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Polish history.
